Nepal Reach Asian Games Cricket Qualifier Final

Nepal advanced to the final of the Asian Games Men’s Cricket Qualifier after defeating Oman by 8 wickets in the semifinal in Singapore on Sunday.

Oman were bowled out for 94 runs in 19.4 overs, with Karan KC taking three wickets, while Sompal Kami and Sandeep Lamichhane claimed two wickets each.

In reply, Nepal chased the target comfortably in 9.2 overs, losing just two wickets. Lokesh Bam remained unbeaten on 44, while Rohit Paudel scored an unbeaten 21.

With the victory, Nepal booked a place in the final, where they will face the winner of the Hong Kong–Malaysia semifinal. Nepal, Oman, Hong Kong, and Malaysia have already secured qualification for the 2026 Asian Games cricket tournament.
