The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has reduced the prices of petroleum products.

The revised prices, effective from 12:01 a.m., include a reduction of Rs. 20 per liter for petrol, Rs. 30 per liter for diesel, and Rs. 100 per cylinder for liquefied petroleum (LP) cooking gas.

According to the corporation, the price adjustment was made after fuel prices declined in the international market. The new rates came into effect from 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday (July 1).

NOC stated that the decision was based on the latest procurement prices received from the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). Under the revised rates, the purchase price of petrol decreased by Rs. 15.09 per liter, diesel by Rs. 29.46 per liter, aviation fuel by Rs. 29.42 per liter, and LP gas also became cheaper.

The corporation also announced that the selling price of international aviation fuel for Kathmandu has been reduced by US$265 per kiloliter. Meanwhile, the selling price of international aviation fuel for Pokhara and Bhairahawa has been set at the break-even level.
