Two arrested for hacking facebook and swindling money

Police on Tuesday arrested two people, including a young woman, on charges of hacking into a Facebook account and swindling money.

The arrested are Ramdev Sah, 31, son of Nandalal Sah of Sitapur Gaunpalika-3 of Saptari District and Manisha Giri, 23, daughter of Bhupaal Giri of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan-4 of Sunsari District.

He was arrested on the complaint of a woman living in Jitpur Simra Sub-Metropolitan Ward No. 2 of the district. They had hacked the Facebook account of a woman from Simara and made an obscene photo and threatened to make it public on the net and tried to swindle Rs 30,000.

According to Bara Police, the suspects were arrested from Itahari Bazaar of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan-6 in Sunsari district on Monday. They arrested along with the money while they was withdrawing money from the IME center.
