Fire broke out at Nitesh Rice Mill run by Sudhir Patel, a resident of Bharbaliya in Feta Gaupalika Ward No. 1 of the Bara district on Sunday afternoon.
A house with a thatched roof has caught fire and the house has been burnt down.
Two electric motors running the mill inside the house, 500 kg 9 bags of paddy, 100 kg wheat and property worth Rs. 140,000 were damaged, according to Bara Police.
The fire started at 4 pm and was brought under control after half an hour with the help of locals, said Bara Police.
